The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously, so it's hard for me to think about what I want to say about myself!  I grew up in Florida with a very large family.  My entire family has art running through their veins.  My grandfather was a professional photographer, Mom and Dad both have artistic talents, and all of my siblings have a knack for being creative one way or another.  so here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world I'm going to channel my passion for creativity into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find joy all at the same time?  So, photography became the answer and a much needed outlet.

I love people, I love love, and I love adorable little baby fat rolls!  I have to be creating beautiful things at all times.  Though being a full time mother and homemaker takes up most of my time, I just can't keep myself from dreaming about being an amazing wedding photographer.

The Photographer

Over the past five years in the wedding industry, I feel like I have become a regular wedding junkie!  By recognizing the latest styles and trends, I am prepared to capture everything that is unique and fabulous at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package.  And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done.  How well do you want to remember it?

Recently I have also reached one of my ongoing goals of being published in a national wedding magazine.  They are but two small pictures, but I am so blessed none the less (baby steps!).  You may recognize some images from Kyle and Christina's Wedding at Gorge Crest Farms in Town & Country Weddings, Fall 2010 issue.  I have also been featured in a few wedding inspiration blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Snippet & Ink, Style Unveiled, and Marry You Me!

Senior, Jordan

This is my cool guy senior. He hates having his pictures taken, but he is a natural! I couldn’t take a bad picture of this kid. Thanks Jordan, people like to make my job easy ;)
By the way. You can “right click” and copy any of these pictures to your computer. I encourage any of my clients who want to use pictures from my blog, to take them, and post them on their “myspace” pages and show them to your friends and family! It lets you share, and it gets my name out and into the community as well! So, Jordan, take the picture you wanted as a poster, and use it as your wall paper!

Josh & Necia’s Engagement shoot

Josh and Necia’s Engagement pictures were fun and different. I did a lot of experimentation with different lighting set-ups that I’m not very practiced with yet, BUT I was glad that I decided to bring it all with me this time. Not even twenty minutes into our shoot, a super thick rain cloud rolled over us and its was too dark in an instant! Fortunately, it didn’t rain on us, but it forced me to step out of my comfort zone, and think a little differently. Some things worked, other things, not so much!
Don’t worry you guys, we still got great stuff! I’m not even posting my favorites! I couldn’t spoil the surprise, yanno? Looking forward to your viewing session! Enjoy…

Stu & Sara Second Glance…

Unfortunately, my poor bride, Sara, got sick and we had to cancel their viewing session :( So, I thought I’d post a few more for them to look at in anticipation! Hope this helps you to feel a little better Sara!!

Quick Glance…

I love this sequence from my most recent wedding. More coming soon…keep checking back!

Stephanie Senior-ita!

This was my Senior last week. Her name is Stephanie, and she was so great to photograph! The camera just loved her! She also had lots of great ideas for posing herself, I usually regretted tweaking her original position. I hope she loves all the pictures she got! These are all of her order, plus two more that I just really liked. Enjoy!

Here’s Henry Jacob Whitaker! Welcome to the world!
This is my new baby…can you blame me for being a little distracted??? he’s too cute! This is what keeps me busy these days. I decided I’d better get my act together and take some NB pics of him. This is at two weeks. By the way, I plan to take a few more when I can get my hubby to help out. I can’t quite hold is feet or hands and take the picture at an artistic angle all at the same time, yanno? things you don’t ever think about until the moment. But, I love these ones…

Jackson couldn’t have been less interested in getting his picture taken with his new baby brother. He’s in that stage of rebelion
