The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously so it's hard for me to think so hard about what I want to say about myself! I grew up in Florida with a large family of nine kids. My enitre family has Art running through their veins. My G-pa was a professional photographer (old school), Mom and Dad both have artistic qualities, and I think all of my sibblings have a knack for being creative one way or another! So here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world am I going to channel my passion into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find bliss all at the same time!? But seriously, I sometimes feel like my photography is like my drug, ha ha ha. I am 5 years married with two sweet boys, 3 and 18 mo. (I'm going to have to keep that updated...). I love my family dearly, I love my beliefs and going to church, I'm a good girl, and I never INTEND to offend anybody :) Sarchasm is non-existant in my blood, so I can get very confused around it sometimes, but that's okay.

The Photographer

Why Photography? Oh goodness, I need an outlet, I LOVE people, I love love, and I LOVE adorable little baby fat rolls. I HAVE to create, I can't breathe without that. Though being a full time mom and homemaker takes up most of my time and energy, I just can't keep myself from obsessing and dreaming about being an amazing wedding Photographer. Over the past 3 years in the wedding industry, I feel like I've become a regular wedding junkie! By recognizing the latest styles and wedding trends, I am prepared to capture everything that was unique and beautiful at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package. And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done. How well do you want to remember?

Ivy has been coming to me for almost 3 years now! She is getting so big and this time I was actually able to give her directions that she was willing to follow, ha ha. I used to just chase her around and hope I got something good. I started taking her pictures when she was 6 months old which was back when I was practicing lighting in my living room studio, and on the begining path of discovering my style. I’m still on that path…

I was so excited for this shoot particularly because Ivy and her family got a chicken this year! When I heard about it, I insisted that I be able to steal a few shots with “Goldie”(the chicken). Goldie really is like a pet, and feels that she should live in the house with the rest of the family. Very cute!

Maternity Pictures!

Well, actually, I think this is my first real maternity session ever. I realized this after talking to Daniel, one of my brides from ‘07, while admitting I don’t do them “very often” and was feeling a little nervous. After I got off the phone, feeling so excited to see Ryan and Daniel again, I realized that I really haven’t ever done one before. But, I have been gathering ideas for quite a while, just keepin’ an eye out for what I would like, should I ever get the opportunity I also took a few pictures in my little home studio which I don’t think I’ve set up for over a year now! I don’t love shooting indoors, but for those B&W belly shots along with the teeny weeny newborns, I will make an exception. So here goes a couple of my favorites…

Little brother gets married!

Well, it’s official, my first brother got married last weekend, and I couldn’t be more pleased with his choice in a wife They are such a sweet couple, and my new sister in-law is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I think she is gorgeous! Well, the day before the wedding, we got to do a fun romantic session, and it was a good thing we did, because it stormed for most of the actual wedding day! Amazing. So, we got to play, and this session was particularly unique because we felt more free to experiment a little with it being our brother and all Anywho, we had fun, and I think we got some great stuff for them!
