The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously, so it's hard for me to think about what I want to say about myself!  I grew up in Florida with a very large family.  My entire family has art running through their veins.  My grandfather was a professional photographer, Mom and Dad both have artistic talents, and all of my siblings have a knack for being creative one way or another.  so here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world I'm going to channel my passion for creativity into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find joy all at the same time?  So, photography became the answer and a much needed outlet.

I love people, I love love, and I love adorable little baby fat rolls!  I have to be creating beautiful things at all times.  Though being a full time mother and homemaker takes up most of my time, I just can't keep myself from dreaming about being an amazing wedding photographer.

The Photographer

Over the past five years in the wedding industry, I feel like I have become a regular wedding junkie!  By recognizing the latest styles and trends, I am prepared to capture everything that is unique and fabulous at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package.  And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done.  How well do you want to remember it?

Recently I have also reached one of my ongoing goals of being published in a national wedding magazine.  They are but two small pictures, but I am so blessed none the less (baby steps!).  You may recognize some images from Kyle and Christina's Wedding at Gorge Crest Farms in Town & Country Weddings, Fall 2010 issue.  I have also been featured in a few wedding inspiration blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Snippet & Ink, Style Unveiled, and Marry You Me!

Thoughts on motherhood

As I write this, I am forcing Henry to take a nap, and Jackson is not aloud to come out of his home-made tent for the next hour all because of  my desperate attempt for a litte “quite time.”  So, I don’t know what’s more stressful, no quite time, or hearing the cries of my children during quite time.  Sigh,  coming back from a 3 day weekend with the grandparents and a swimming pool is tough, but it’s back to the ‘ol routine boys!  Get used to it.  For now, a few shots to remind me of how sweet they are…

He can’ get enough pictures of his cars

In case your wondering, Henry had just kissed his sidewalk chalk drawings.  Super cute chalky chin!

Click Chicks: Mini Workshop

Well, I am a little late posting this, but I just wanted to share my favorite shots from our click chicks monthly meeting.  This month we did a little practice shoot with Melissa  her super brave hubby, Josh.  We were ALL photographing him alone for the most part while Melissa shared a bunch of her ideas, and how she works with her clients’ poses as well as keeping the experience for them fun, relaxed, and happy.  Thanks Melissa, we all had a great time, and thank you Josh for putting up with a house full of ladies!!  Buuuuuut, I just love a cute couple, so I just had to post a picture of them TOGETHER!  (I’ll admit I didn’t shoot a lot because I prefer to sit back and observe these kinds of things (lots of people shooting one subject).  Just as educational, but a different perspective I guess…)

I am trilled, I was worried that I would be disappointed if it wasn’t a girl since I already have two boys,

but I am just already so in love with this little boy.  He is going to be so sweet :)

Fun at the Beach!

Soooooo, Our one and only mistake of the whole day was to drive to the coast the day before the Fourth of July! It took us over 2 1/2 hours to get there…everybody was going to the beach. At each bend we’d think, “it could be just around the corner, we can’t turn around yet!” We stuck it out to have just about an hour and a half of fun in the sand! I think it was worth it.
Well, I guess we made another mistake that day. We decided to eat out at a resturant that shall remain un-named. The food tasted like cardboard, and I had severe digestion problems for the next 3 days…again, it was all worth it!

PS. What do you think of the new picture frames? I’ve seen it and loved it for a while on other blogs, so here’s my atempt!

There was a small trickle coming down into the water creating this really cool scale-like pattern.

My sweet Henry, We played too hard that day and then on the Fourth. So much so, that he and his brother both got sick :( They are still getting over it, poor guys. The same thing happened after playing too hard in Hawaii…interesting
