The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously, so it's hard for me to think about what I want to say about myself!  I grew up in Florida with a very large family.  My entire family has art running through their veins.  My grandfather was a professional photographer, Mom and Dad both have artistic talents, and all of my siblings have a knack for being creative one way or another.  so here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world I'm going to channel my passion for creativity into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find joy all at the same time?  So, photography became the answer and a much needed outlet.

I love people, I love love, and I love adorable little baby fat rolls!  I have to be creating beautiful things at all times.  Though being a full time mother and homemaker takes up most of my time, I just can't keep myself from dreaming about being an amazing wedding photographer.

The Photographer

Over the past five years in the wedding industry, I feel like I have become a regular wedding junkie!  By recognizing the latest styles and trends, I am prepared to capture everything that is unique and fabulous at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package.  And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done.  How well do you want to remember it?

Recently I have also reached one of my ongoing goals of being published in a national wedding magazine.  They are but two small pictures, but I am so blessed none the less (baby steps!).  You may recognize some images from Kyle and Christina's Wedding at Gorge Crest Farms in Town & Country Weddings, Fall 2010 issue.  I have also been featured in a few wedding inspiration blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Snippet & Ink, Style Unveiled, and Marry You Me!

Isaac’s Senior Portraits

This is Isaac, my Brother Marshal’s good friend, and my new “adopted brother”. Marshal has been living with Isaac’s Family for over a year now, maybe two, while he is working to save money for mission. Isaac has become like another brother to Marsh, as well as Issacs 6 other siblings! He has become a regular member in our family as well as we have all gotten to know him too. He comes to our family get togethers, and we will miss him while he and Marsh are both going to be on missions soon!

whole time, since I don’t photograph guys that often…it was fun

Playing dress-up

Okay so I am having so much fun with these slide shows that I grabbed my sister Julianna the other day to do a photo shoot and make another slideshow!  She helped with a lot of this session, picking out her own outfits, and helping me edit the pictures.  Her style is so unique, and most definitely beautiful!  She goes for over-sized shirts, in fact those two in this session are actually mine, and she likes to look a little grunge.  I can’t believe she is only 10 years old…we are in for some real trouble!

Mike & Becca: Family Shoot

So I had the privilege of taking family pictures of my Brother and his family before they went back to Utah, and I was messing around with this cool program and came out with this!  I love it so much, I giggled like a school girl to see it for the first time.  I love the emotion that it adds to the images, and you can’t beat the “Honey” song!  Mike loves beekeeping so it was perfect!!!  (Only downside was I didn’t put in big enough pics, so the full screen isn’t so great)  I’m so tickled…ENJOY!!

!!!Family Fun!!!

So it has been quite a fun summer!  We have been in our new house for over 6 months now, and I have been in total heaven.  I think the highlights of the summer though have been time spent with family!  We have had a number of GTG’s at our new place, and the biggest of all was a huge multi family BBQ my Sister Missy and I put on!  Anybody related to us and our siblings was invited.  It was a huge blast with family staying/camping (literally) for 4+ days.  It was so fun, but the opposition came as well…somehow a bug got around and we had quite a few people with a stomach virus.  Unfortunately, Missy got hit the worst, and she was out of commission, but the others still found it in themselves to have a great time.  You wouldn’t have known that people were under the weather!  Except Missy, poor Missy :(   We also began a new tradition!  Kevin’s parents lent us their old volleyball net, and we played for HOURS!  That has been a hit all summer.

Anywho, I’ve had a great time, and I hope you all did as well…

This is Issac, our new “adopted brother” you’d say.  He came to almost all of our GTG’s with Marshal, and we will feel like somebody is missing from now on if he doesn’t keep coming!  He was puking too, but you wouldn’t know it!  I’ll post his senior pics later!

Sweet Ivy

I have been photographing this baby girl since she was 6 months old, and I say that every year I think! Here she is again at FOUR years old!! I really noticed a difference in her maturity this time; she was super cooperative. Striking poses left and right…it was super cute…
