Soooooo, Our one and only mistake of the whole day was to drive to the coast the day before the Fourth of July! It took us over 2 1/2 hours to get there…everybody was going to the beach. At each bend we’d think, “it could be just around the corner, we can’t turn around yet!” We stuck it out to have just about an hour and a half of fun in the sand! I think it was worth it.
Well, I guess we made another mistake that day. We decided to eat out at a resturant that shall remain un-named. The food tasted like cardboard, and I had severe digestion problems for the next 3 days…again, it was all worth it!
PS. What do you think of the new picture frames? I’ve seen it and loved it for a while on other blogs, so here’s my atempt!

There was a small trickle coming down into the water creating this really cool scale-like pattern.

Working on a tunnel

Jackson & Henry enjoying the tunnel!

Then it broke on Henry, yuck, sand in the mouth!

My handsome boy…

My sweet Henry, We played too hard that day and then on the Fourth. So much so, that he and his brother both got sick
They are still getting over it, poor guys. The same thing happened after playing too hard in Hawaii…interesting

Ivy has been coming to me for almost 3 years now! She is getting so big and this time I was actually able to give her directions that she was willing to follow, ha ha. I used to just chase her around and hope I got something good. I started taking her pictures when she was 6 months old which was back when I was practicing lighting in my living room studio, and on the begining path of discovering my style. I’m still on that path…
I was so excited for this shoot particularly because Ivy and her family got a chicken this year! When I heard about it, I insisted that I be able to steal a few shots with “Goldie”(the chicken). Goldie really is like a pet, and feels that she should live in the house with the rest of the family. Very cute!

“I’m 3!”

Well, actually, I think this is my first real maternity session ever. I realized this after talking to Daniel, one of my brides from ’07, while admitting I don’t do them “very often” and was feeling a little nervous. After I got off the phone, feeling so excited to see Ryan and Daniel again, I realized that I really haven’t ever done one before. But, I have been gathering ideas for quite a while, just keepin’ an eye out for what I would like, should I ever get the opportunity
I also took a few pictures in my little home studio which I don’t think I’ve set up for over a year now! I don’t love shooting indoors, but for those B&W belly shots along with the teeny weeny newborns, I will make an exception. So here goes a couple of my favorites…

Well, we are undertaking the potty-training this week, and we are stuck at home mostly! It’s been very successful, and Jackson is so proud of himself! It’s been super fun for me too, and I am feeling like a proud mommy. It’s amazing to get to know him better and better everyday, because he’s constantly learing new things. I think my most common mistake is just assuming that he doesn’t understand something, because he does! And I am realizing that he apreciates being treated a little more like a big kid.
So, I’ve been iching to do something with photography these days, I decided to whip out the camera and snap some pics that just show what’s been going on lately, well, mostly just the boys
(thanks for the suggestion Melissa T.)
Henry was determined to sit in a regular chair this morning, and he spent a good deal of time climbing into it. He just looks too cute.

We just got a new bedroom set! I have never had nice new bedroom furniture that all looked good together, so I was so excited to get it all in our room. It felt like my own room was looking like a magazine! Just a couple shots for now, all the sides of the room still have old stuff waiting to go out to the garage, he he he

Well, there are always those times when a mother worries that after the photo session is all over that there is no chance that we got something good. We always know better, and assure her that we got super cute stuff. I have to admit that there are moments when I worry as well, but I always find out that we STILL get great stuff! This little bundle of joy decided to give me great smiles for the first setting, but after that she decided it was time to be done…we were definitely not done yet! So with a few breaks here and there, and a most welcomed cheerio snack, we coaxed this busy girl into letting me play with her a little longer. I don’t think I need to worry after choosing these as just a couple of my favorites…

Changing: Not on her agenda

I had the opportunity yesterday to shoot these three siblings. They were all so unique in their cuteness, and I just enjoyed every minute. I could’ve spent an hour with each of them separately, but it was very very cold, so I didn’t want to freeze them. I’ve known these guys a little over two years now, and I’ve always thought, “Gee, those kids would be fun to photograph!” So, Here we are!

Ready to catch!

Can you tell me what is wrong with this picture??

So cute!

Sweet Anna

LOVE her hair!

Anna is just at the age where you just don’t feel comfortable in you own skin, no matter how incredably beautiful you are. I hope she likes these pictures…if not now, maybe in 10-15 yrs
Just look at how beautiful you are Anna!
