The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously, so it's hard for me to think about what I want to say about myself!  I grew up in Florida with a very large family.  My entire family has art running through their veins.  My grandfather was a professional photographer, Mom and Dad both have artistic talents, and all of my siblings have a knack for being creative one way or another.  so here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world I'm going to channel my passion for creativity into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find joy all at the same time?  So, photography became the answer and a much needed outlet.

I love people, I love love, and I love adorable little baby fat rolls!  I have to be creating beautiful things at all times.  Though being a full time mother and homemaker takes up most of my time, I just can't keep myself from dreaming about being an amazing wedding photographer.

The Photographer

Over the past five years in the wedding industry, I feel like I have become a regular wedding junkie!  By recognizing the latest styles and trends, I am prepared to capture everything that is unique and fabulous at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package.  And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done.  How well do you want to remember it?

Recently I have also reached one of my ongoing goals of being published in a national wedding magazine.  They are but two small pictures, but I am so blessed none the less (baby steps!).  You may recognize some images from Kyle and Christina's Wedding at Gorge Crest Farms in Town & Country Weddings, Fall 2010 issue.  I have also been featured in a few wedding inspiration blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Snippet & Ink, Style Unveiled, and Marry You Me!

Mike & Becca: Family Shoot

So I had the privilege of taking family pictures of my Brother and his family before they went back to Utah, and I was messing around with this cool program and came out with this!  I love it so much, I giggled like a school girl to see it for the first time.  I love the emotion that it adds to the images, and you can’t beat the “Honey” song!  Mike loves beekeeping so it was perfect!!!  (Only downside was I didn’t put in big enough pics, so the full screen isn’t so great)  I’m so tickled…ENJOY!!

Obsessed!

Well, since we shot this wedding a week ago, I have been obsessed

with how this picture would turn out!  I got to finally download my images yesterday,

and I was not disappointed!  Betcha can’t wait to see more…

Photobucket

Like one week is too long or something!

Missy let me shoot a roll of film at this wedding too,

so waiting for that is going to be even harder.

NEW BLOG!!!

Hola!  Welcome to my new blog!  I am very excited because I will be able to post bigger and more beautiful pictures on this blog for your viewing pleasure!  Everything previous to this post was imported from my old Blogger Blog, which was awsome, but I just didn’t like how small the picturtes were.  So, It may seem a little scrambled before this point, and I think it’s just the way this blog interpreted the old blog’s information, but anyway.  So, please, enjoy the fanastics entries that are coming…looking forward to the future and more improvements!

Snow Day!!

So, last week sometime, my sister Juliana got to have a snow day! We went outside and all the kids were playing out in the street. They wanted to scrape my windows and were asking everyone if they could do this “service” for free! Anywho, by 11 or so it was already all melted, and it didn’t look at all the same, it was kind of strange.

Jessica was visiting cause she already had the day off. She was too cold and went back inside :) I can understand why! Her hair was wet.

John & Katie E-session Sneak Peek!

So, yesterday I had a blast with John and Katie in downtown Salem and at the river front carousel. I did a lot of new experiments and tried some fun new ideas. I think they had fun as well, and it was exciting to get to know them better. They both seem happy and very relaxed. I am so excited for their wedding in March! Check back then to see more…
…The last picture shown is a shot that I am loving right now. I brought my friend Angela who has been playing with cameras for a long time now, and is just starting to create her own business plans. I took her along to see what she’d get, and this was one of the shots I loved!
