The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously, so it's hard for me to think about what I want to say about myself!  I grew up in Florida with a very large family.  My entire family has art running through their veins.  My grandfather was a professional photographer, Mom and Dad both have artistic talents, and all of my siblings have a knack for being creative one way or another.  so here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world I'm going to channel my passion for creativity into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find joy all at the same time?  So, photography became the answer and a much needed outlet.

I love people, I love love, and I love adorable little baby fat rolls!  I have to be creating beautiful things at all times.  Though being a full time mother and homemaker takes up most of my time, I just can't keep myself from dreaming about being an amazing wedding photographer.

The Photographer

Over the past five years in the wedding industry, I feel like I have become a regular wedding junkie!  By recognizing the latest styles and trends, I am prepared to capture everything that is unique and fabulous at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package.  And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done.  How well do you want to remember it?

Recently I have also reached one of my ongoing goals of being published in a national wedding magazine.  They are but two small pictures, but I am so blessed none the less (baby steps!).  You may recognize some images from Kyle and Christina's Wedding at Gorge Crest Farms in Town & Country Weddings, Fall 2010 issue.  I have also been featured in a few wedding inspiration blogs such as Style Me Pretty, Snippet & Ink, Style Unveiled, and Marry You Me!

Ryan & Daniele Album

Here are the spreads for Ryan & Daniele! They were a great couple and had a fun, relaxed outdoor wedding. Everyone was so nice to me and Jennifer (my second shooter, check out her stuff: http://www.jenniferphotography.us/ )

Anywho, their day was August 4th, 2007, and I was due in one month. When I was at their wedding her family was so nice to me! “Thanks” to her mom for bringing me tons of water throughout the day. She had little spinning fans for her guests that ran on a battery, and I ended up clipping one to my camera strap. I used that fan for the rest of the month! (I had three more weddings to shoot, am I crazy or what!)
Oh yeah, Daniele loves all of her little children friends. It was cute to see how in awe they were of her that day. I’m sure they’ll remember dancing with her for a long time.
Thanks, you guys, for your patience…I know it’s been a long wait.

Rainy Day Sneak Peek…

Here’s a quick glance at the family I shot today…its was a rainy day, so we did a bunch inside. We also did a few outside with a little drizzle, stay tuned!

Little Sista’

Due to the crazy busy time it is, I have decided to hunker down and let myself post something today. This is my Sister Julianna. I got her this cute jacket and took some pictures one day for fun. It was actually quite hectic cause I had all of my kids and siblings Ryan and Jessica too. Jessie is the oldest and ended up playing with the kiddos while I took Julie’s pictures. Sorry Jess, we will get a chance to do another photoshoot ALONE :)

Josh & Necia

Josh and Necia came to view their picture last week! I was so excited to have some fun and interesting stuff for them! They loved my all time favorite picture so far which was taken in their apartment with just the light in the living room! It looks very modern and would look awesome in their very nice apartment. I can’t wait for their wedding which is in just less than 2 weeks! Necia is just beautiful, and will be an absolutely gorgeous bride. Lucky guy, that Josh!
Enjoy…

Happy Thanksgiving!

Among all of the Christmas and wedding orders to fill by the end of the month, what did I choose to do during my day off?…Take more PICTURES! J/K…….no, but seriously……..but not really, J/K (Jennifer, that one’s fer you!)
What, am I crazy? No, just obsessed. I have been perfecting a technique, and really experimenting with back-lit lighting. I just got an awsome reflector and it’s huge, and since it was so pretty and sunny out, I just couldn’t resist!
I took pictures of some of my sweet cousins and little Sister. I have to say, they are a georgeous bunch! No joke, I only spent two minutes with each of them and was able to pull out these stunning shots! I had my new born baby straped on me and spent ten minutes outside, then headed back to the warm house.
After MINIMAL touch-up, this is what they looked like! I am just amazed at what a difference my reflector makes…my favorite new toy.
I played these all together in a slideshow with some music, and I got a little teary eyed (music makes the biggest impact!). I’ve known all of these girls since they were wee little babes, and I just can’t believe how beautiful they are becoming.
Lots of love to them, ENJOY!

Downtown Fun!

My good friend Kymberly let me play with her kids today and practice some new ideas. I hope you love them! I took out one girl and one boy together at a time. The boys did a good job and helped to keep the girls smiling for the camera. Thanks Guys :)
