The Person

Well first of all, I try not to take myself too seriously, so it's hard for me to think about what I want to say about myself!  I grew up in Florida with a large family. My enitre family has Art running through their veins. My Grandfather was a professional photographer, Mom and Dad both have artistic qualities, and I think all of my sibblings have a knack for being creative one way or another! So here I am, married with children and wondering how in the world am I going to channel my passion into something beautiful, productive, fulfilling, and find bliss all at the same time!? But seriously, I sometimes feel like photography is my drug.

I am 6 years married with three sweet boys, 4, 2, and 5 months. (I'm going to have to keep that updated...). I love my family dearly, I love my Heavenly Father and going to church, I'm a good girl, and I never INTEND to offend anybody :) I'm very gullible, goofy, and an all around happy-go-lucky person.

The Photographer

Why Photography?  Oh goodness, I need an outlet, I LOVE people, I love love, and I LOVE adorable little baby fat rolls. I HAVE to create, I can't breathe without that.  Though being a full time mom and homemaker takes up most of my time and energy, I just can't keep myself from obsessing and dreaming about being an amazing wedding Photographer.  Over the past 4 years in the wedding industry, I feel like I've become a regular wedding junkie!  By recognizing the latest styles and wedding trends, I am prepared to capture everything that is unique and beautiful at your wedding and wrap it all up into an amazing timeless package.  And that amazing package is the work of art you will walk away with when the day is all said and done.  How well do you want to remember it?

Wedding at the Oswego Lake Country Club!

This last saturday I was able to second shoot with my fabulous Sister and Photographer, Missy Cochran!  I was privilaged to help her take pictures at Marc John and Kelsey’s beautiful wedding that took place at the Oswego Lake Country Club.  It was so well done, the decorations were gorgeous, the family and guests were so full of joy, and the day couldn’t have been prettier.

Little brother gets married!

Well, it’s official, my first brother got married last weekend, and I couldn’t be more pleased with his choice in a wife :) They are such a sweet couple, and my new sister in-law is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I think she is gorgeous! Well, the day before the wedding, we got to do a fun romantic session, and it was a good thing we did, because it stormed for most of the actual wedding day! Amazing. So, we got to play, and this session was particularly unique because we felt more free to experiment a little with it being our brother and all ;) Anywho, we had fun, and I think we got some great stuff for them!

Then Beca’s sister threw her hair up again in a really loose updo, gorgeous!

Then the sprinklers went off on us by that fence and almost soaked us all! It was crazy, but after relocating, we got a few final shots…

Tim & Llama: Wedding Story

Well, it ’bout time I posted this wedding!  Tim & Llama were married Dec. 6th, 2008, and I just got so busy around the holidays that I never got around to posting their wedding story!  Well, here’s to a little catch-up work during the slow season to keep the blog exciting…

NAMES Llama Taylor (now Temple) and Tim Temple

LIVE IN Salem, OR

OCCUPATIONS She’s a social worker specializing as an Adolescent/Family Therapist and he’s a Commercial Plumber who helped build the new convention center, buildings at U of O and OSU, etc.

 NUMBER OF ATTENDEES ?? I don’t even know?  I’d guess around 175

NUMBER OF ATTENDANTS Eight bridesmaids and four groomsmen

HOW THEY MET Llama was out with a friend, and so was Tim.  The girls spotted the boys first.  Llama’s friend made eyes at his friend, the boys came over, and now all four of us are married!

THE ENGAGEMENT Despite growing up in Oregon, neither of us had ever been in a lighthouse. Tim proposed in Yaquina Head Lighthouse in the stinky oil room on our 2 year dating anniversary.

WHAT ATTRACTED HER TO HIM His eyes, his sense of humor, his sincerity, and his life goals

WHAT ATTRACTED HIM TO HER “Just the way you relate to me.”

A DATE THEY’LL ALWAYS REMEMBER On our second date we hated each other. J Llama was too eccentric, with vegetarian pizza and Sundance films, and Tim was impatient and not impressed.

WEDDING THEME Winter night with white lights and candles

WEDDING COLORS Moss green and metallic gold

WEDDING FLOWERS “Spicy” Roses and pussy willows

WEDDING CAKE Cream with a gold ribbon. White with Bavarian cream and chocolate with raspberry.

FAVORITE DETAIL Getting married in the middle of an old, gorgeously restored, barn.  Finding and tweaking the Celtic “tying the knot” tradition, and incorporating it into our ceremony.

THE MOST UNEXPECTED ELEMENT When one of the 5 flower girls (Llama’s 2 year old niece) veered left and started sprinkling rose petals over by the bar!  J

HOW THE WEDDING WAS DIFFERENT THAN THEY EXPECTED At the last minute we changed the song that we were going to dance to, then wished we wouldn’t have, as our song is “You are the Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne.

Tim & Llama: Sneak Peek I

Well, my last wedding of the year!  Things went so well, and we were blessed with AMAZING weather!!  It was still super cold, but the sun was shining all day long.  This is just a little teaser of some of the awsome pictures we got in this neat spot.  Just along the side of the road were these apple trees with only the little red apples left on them, so COOL!!

Jordan & Rachel: Wedding Sneek Peak I

Well, I had the privilege of being the part of Jordan & Rachel’s Wedding this year.  Last year, we took pictures at her sister’s wedding, and I just love it when we can connect with the family enough for them to trust us and want us to work with them again and again!  Rachel’s dress was stunning, and they got ready at the McMinnamens Hotel in McMinville, Oregon.  It was an awesome place!  Very unique.  Unfortunately, it rained the entire day!!  Except for when they were all getting ready in the hotel (ironically!!)  We did sneak out for a few shots, but the ground was so wet, and it was hazardous to the wedding attire.  So, here are just a few that picked out of the getting ready shots!
